Dr. Raoof visited the DWS (Decent Welfare
Society) Head Office and met with those responsible for managing our
newly established account, as set-up in October 2016 in order to
manage our charitable funds in Pakistan.
Aabroo is an organisation with which SEHT has
been working almost since its beginning in 2011. Dr. Raoof revisited
the library of the Girls’ School (No. 1) in Nishtar Town Lahore,
which is now well-established with a qualified librarian working
there on a voluntary basis. The School has been asked to provide a
list of required books that SEHT aims to help provide. A trip was
also made to another school run by Aabroo, The Aabroo Welfare High
School for Girls in Sheraz Town on the outskirts of Lahore, as well
as the Madrassa
Mohammadia Salfia for Girls in Greentown in Lahore.
In 2016 SEHT provided a slit lamp to the Al-Ehsan
Eye Hospital and Dr. Raoof visited to see it in use first-hand. He
was further able to visit the AJB (Aziz Jehan Begum) Trust for the
Blind Kid’s Complex to see its now completed building in which SEHT
had funded 2 rooms and has moreover made a commitment to provide
equipment for the doctors and nurses rooms there.
Dr. Raoof met with Mr. Amanullah Malik, Chairman
of the Khidmat Committee Sialkot which runs the Sialkot Medical
Complex and the Al Khidmat Children’s Hospital and School in
Sialkot. Through your generous donations, Allhamdullilah SEHT was
able to provide to the Children’s Hospital an ECG machine and a
nebuliser machine. For the school, a supply of school uniforms,
shoes, and school bags for 100 pupils is currently also being
arranged.
