Alhamdulillah during 2024, with your support, SEHT were able to complete a number of charitable projects

March:

• In March 2024, Ramadan food packages were distributed in Sialkot (Rs. 222, 200) and Gujrat (Rs. 1,797, 000). We also have plans to distribute food packages this Ramadan to 500 families InshaAllah.

April:

• During the month of April 2024, a Cataract camp held in Sialkot in conjunction with ECHO (ECHO Eyecare Health Organisation), enabled the surgery of 200 patients. The surgeon kindly performed 20 surgeries for free, 90 being paid for by ECHO, and 90 by SEHT at Rs. 585, 000).

May:

• May 2024 saw a visit by Trust Chairman, Dr. Abdur Raoof, to the Hakeen Aslam Medical Complex in Sialkot. In SEHT’s endeavors to ensure that contributions are spent appropriately and put to maximum benefit for those in need, this visit was to view the site and assess the prospects of future eye camps, contributions towards equipment etc.

June:

• In June 2024, in an additional joint project with ECHO, we were indeed able to assist with the establishment of the Eye Clinic at Hakeem Aslam Medical Complex, supplying an autorefractor, slit Lamp and ophthalmic trial box (lens set) (Rs. 725, 000).

July:

• July 2024 also saw the sponsorship of club foot corrective surgery for two children (Rs. 600, 000).

November:

• Gladly, a further Cataract Camp was successfully held in November 2024 in the joint SEHT and ECHO Eye Cinic in the Hakeem Aslam Medical Complex  On this occasion SEHT were able to fund 60 of the150 surgeries performed (Rs. 435, 000).

December:

• In December 2024, we contributed towards the purchase of a Spectral Domain OCT (optical coherence tomography) machine, which is a vital scanner used for imaging in ophthalmology to  detect and manage many conditions, including the early detection of glaucoma. This equipment was for Al Ehsan Welfare Eye Hospital, Lahore (Rs. 1 million, towards the total cost of the OCT machine costing Rs. 25 million).
