2025 - Activities

By the Grace of Allah and continuing support and donations 2025 has  been quite         an  active  year and we have been able to continue our efforts to improve access to health facilities and education  for those in need. Alhamdulillah.

March:

  • As in previous years, Ramazan Food Packages were delivered to 500 families  and a further 200 families  received Food Packages at Eid. (Rs.3,500,000)

May:

  • Further discussions were held with Dr Sardar Qureshi of ECHO (Eye Care Health Organisation) about future funding for the Eye clinic established last year in Sialkot.   Joint funding was agreed.  Echo representative Mr Usman Qureshi has been asked to register the clinic as a charity with the relevant local authority to enable bank account to be opened and comply with local regulations. Pending registration the clinic will receive Rs. 50,000 per month, subject to review in October.

    On 24 May the Mobile Theatre Unit  of Al-Ehsan Welfare Eye Hospital Lahore carried out 53 Cataract operations at no cost to the clinic except forRs.50,000 for pre surgery blood tests

August:

  • There were severe devastating floods in Punjab affecting mostly rural areas.  SEHT  funded Decent Welfare Society’s flood relief work and provided funding  for supply of dry and cooked food.  (Rs.800,000)   (Photos)

September:

  • SEHT paid  two students’ admission fees for  courses at  the Internation Islamic University (Rs.146,700).  Another student’s semester fee for his  Mechanical Engineering course at the same university  was also paid (Rs.101,472).

    Ripha University received semester fees for student  studying Hotel Management (Rs.54,772).

October:

  • At the  cataract camp  at the Echo Seht Eye Clinic this month 750 patients were seen  and 150 operations carried out. This camp was jointly funded Seht contributing  fees of Rs.350,000.

November:

  • A personal trip to  Pakistan gave  Dr A Raoof and Azhar Raoof opportunity to  visit:

    -       Umeed Palliative Care Centre in Lahore , meeting Mrs Yasmin Zia  chair of Inmol Patient Welfare Society, and Dr Duaa from the Centre.  SEHT is committed to offer them material help.

    -       Al-Ehsan Welfare Eye Hospital in Lahore

    -       Mahomed Gatrad Artificial Limb & Clubfoot Centre in Gujrat (photos)

    -       Informatics College of Allied Health Sciences, Gujrat campus (photos). Courses have just started at the College and SEHT will inshallah sponsor four students.

    -       Cleft Hospital GT Road Gujrat.

    -       Echo Seht Eye Clinic in Sialkot (photos)
